In January 2017, Downers Stores was closing down, after having been my local BBQ store since I moved to the UK. Being from Atlanta, Georgia I grew up grilling and smoking meat at every opportunity, and I saw rescuing this BBQ store and building something from it as my responsibility, as I couldn't stand the thought of my local area being without a source for a good barbecue or accessory, bag of charcoal, bottle of gas, or just a place to go for some good advice.
